Shoe Candy

Aaaah, Friday, how I love you! I’m sitting here with my plumeria candle burning, wine glass in hand, getting ready to hit the couch and DVR and thought I would add a quick post to start the weekend off right.  I had a busy night! I potted my tomato plant in a big planter out by the front door, hung my agave painting in our bedroom (finally!) and got my shoe rack up on the wall.  I cleaned up the guest bedroom, which, if you know me well, is the bane of my existence.  Do you have a room or an area in the house that is your catch-all? Yeah, ours is the guest bedroom.  We don’t often have guests, so it’s the spot we throw everything to get it out of the way. I’m forever planning to turn it into a studio, and because we need a bed in there for the random over-nighter, it never happens.  Instead, it fill with nonsense so cleaning it lands on the top of my to-do list every weekend (and stays on there all week).  Sometimes I feel like lighting fire to that room just so I don’t have to organize it again.  But I digress…

One of the items I got when I was at the junk store recently was a standard issue towel bar for a buck.  Not very pretty on it’s own, but I think I made it more appealing-and took care of my slowly disintegrating shoe storage space! Which, by the way, happens to be in the guest bedroom.  Go figure.  I hung the towel bar on my “collage wall.”  I think it makes the shoes fit right in 😉
