Homemade Teacher Appreciation Gift

image

An old friend of mine (and my first roommate!) has been following my blog and asked me to make this wreath for her kid’s teachers as an end of year teacher appreciation gift.  She saw the idea on Pinterest (click to go to the blog with tutorial) and asked if I was up for it.  I jumped at the chance to craft for someone, and putting my own spin on the wreath was a lot of fun.  I used a wire wreath form instead of foam or embroidery hoops, added a homemade “chalkboard” and used different embellishments.  Here is my tip to add to the tutorial: use the lines on the crayon wrappers as your “markers” to keep the crayons straight and create a near-perfect circle!
