guest bedroom turned studio

Hey guys! How’s it going? I had a really rough end to my week, so I hope you can forgive me for not checking in after Wednesday.  I won’t get into it, but I’m just really grateful it wasn’t worse and so freaking glad it’s over.  I’ve been working on turning our guest bedroom into a studio, and I wanted to give you the before and after of my progress so far.  Joe is going to be hanging some eight foot shelves in there along the long wall, and I have a bunch of pictures and stuff to hang, plus some styling, but I’m totally thrilled with where it’s at for now!

Guest Bedroom Before Studio After

I’ve been going crazy over on Pinterest with inspiration for this room.  Check out what I found, it’ll give you an idea of where I’m going:

from Ty Pennington

loving the green shade second from the right

from Real Simple

lots of shelving

from Chez Larsson

love all the magazine storage-definitely need that (p.s. i think i might have a magazine hoarding problem!)

how cute, right? digging the idea of jar storage like this for bits and pieces

While I’ve been working on this, Joe already hung my shelf and convinced me one was enough.  I love that man! I will definitely keep you posted and share my final “After” pics with you when I get ‘er finished.  Hope you have a great week in the meantime!
